A guesthouse just a short walk from a beautiful small town, near both the archaeological ruins of the Roman baths ( where visitors can still bathe in thermal waters and visit the small museum in town to learn more about the history of these baths) and near the large and luxurious Fonteverde Spa, where day treatments and pools are built around the same ancient thermal springs. The guesthouse is small and charming in a lovely location, and staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

I loved that this beautiful place out in the country. It was so peaceful in the times that we were there. Each morning we would take a few steps to the kitchen and have morning cappucinos and a full breakfast. The hosts were more than kind with our meager attempts to communicate. Our place had two rooms and a bath. Lovely decor and seemingly brand new. We were spoiled by the hostess making our bed and cleaning our place daily. We loved visiting the small hill towns that weren't overrun with tourists. I highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

The location is beautiful and quiet with the nearest neighbor being hundreds of meters away. It is exactly what you expect of Tuscany countryside. Colorful yellow and green hills with lots of flowers, pines and cypress trees. The property is exquisitely renovated. The owners found the perfect mix of antique and modern design; the bedroom with the bathroom is very tidy and spacious. The bed has a very comfortable mattress and the memory foam pillows are excellent. The owners take very good care also of the surroundings, by planting vegetation that is traditional for Tuscany, keep nice flowers and trees, and plan to add olive trees as well. The breakfast is wonderful. It consists of a variety of locally produced salami, excellent sheep cheese from the neighboring farm paired with saffron honey and marmalades, Tuscany crust bread, etc. There are locally produced sweets, from filled biscuits to croissants and more. The best part is Enrica serves you a delicious and fresh crostata each morning (unforgettable the "torta della nonna" - with cream filling and pine nuts). There is also a wide selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, fresh juices, still and sparkling water and a coffee machine. The best part is getting to know the owners Enrica and Carlo. They are very warm, welcoming and extremely caring - they really make you feel like you are at home. Both delight you with interesting stories. They give you great recommendation for daily trips and sight seeing - in the picturesque Val d'Orcia and beyond - in nearby Umbria and Lazio regions. One night we came back from sightseeing very late (after midnight); there was some very heavy rain, and Carlo waited for us to come back, being worried that we got stuck somewhere. With my wife we were there for our marriage anniversary.

Situato in pieno centro storico l'appartamento è veramente molto bello, arredato con cura e molto gusto, bagni nuovi, biancheria più che confortevole, due camere di cui una con due letti matrimoniali. Piccole sorprese per gli ospiti (caramelle, snack, acqua biscotti, caffè e succo di frutta) sono una vera coccola. Complimenti all'arredatore. Lo consiglio vivamente.
