Fresh bread, homemade fig jam, oil and tomato, and the coffee... Of course, Antonio was cheerful and warm and Sergio, attentive, professional and helpful. Honestly, Assuntina knows everything about Salento and is willing to share secrets if you ask. I visited some of the most beautiful places in Puglia on her recommendations. I also had dinner - twice - at one of the best places I ate in all of Puglia...Trattoria Coppuleda, because Sergio recommended it. Specchia is a special place, Borgosolare makes it so. This is the place to stay.
