I had a wonderful stay at Garni Tschutscherhof - the room, breakfast and hotel in general exceeded my high expectations! Giovanni, the manager, was really friendly and helpful - he was available whenever needed, and had lots of recommendations for the local village (Lajen) and for Val Gardena in general. For those guests who are skiing, the hotel offers a free daily ski bus service which takes you straight from the hotel to the ski gondola in St. Cristina every morning. The hotel is also connected by regular public buses to Ortisei (and a free bus pass is given to guests to cover the use of these buses for the duration of their stay). This is a beautiful hotel with warm, friendly staff in a lovely traditional Sudtirolean village. I look forward to coming back for another visit soon - thanks Giovanni + staff!

The place is run by a really nice and sweet couple - they couldn’t speak English but it wasn’t a problem with google translate apps. Free breakfast every morning was delicious and quite a wide spread. They serve dinner at their restaurant at night as well but it’s not included in the accommodation cost - the food was really good and we enjoyed it. The room was really clean, nice and big and they clean the rooms every day!! no complaints at all it was truly a great stay, highly recommended!

this hotel is in a good positon at the city center, room facing the mountains have a very nice view. staff is very friendly and kind, excellent! our room was in the residence part and not in the hotel. this additional house seems in state of renovation, there were works in progress like painting and refurbishment. unfortunately very annoying. the room was in need of renovation as quite old , with bathroom in need of full renovation and cleaning, not happy on that. the wellness area was closed, except for a small swimming pool. on the other hand the main hotel is kept in a marvelous state. staff friendly ed very efficient. dinner very good, breakfast exceptional. price was little less than 300 per night, that is not cheap! , but in this area it seems in the average price I would say experience negative in the garni residence dependance, excellent in the hotel. don't take the residence dependance!
