The hosts at this homestay are exceptional. They are kind, caring and attentive and will cater to whatever needs you have, to arranging transport, fixing an appointment of an ayurvedic massage, or even getting you a chilled beer in the evening. The host made dinner one night when didn't feel like venturing out and collected dinner ordered for me at another resto when that option was chosen. The breakfasts were superb, with the host asking every evening what we would like for breakfast and when we would like it served.

What a gem in Mararikulam! After a warm and thorough welcome by Allwyn we settled in a spacious, nicely decorated, air-conditioned room. The bathroom is without a roof so in the morning you find the lovely blossoms fallen from the trees above on the shower floor. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels and water is provided. There is coffee, tea and the kettle in the room. The breakfasts are just superdelicious, a large bowl of fresh fruits, omelette or fried eggs, toast with marmelade accompanied with some tasty local specialities. The owners Allwyn and Dency give you all the attention and care, all they do with extreme love and devotion. Sometimes Dency prepares dinner which is awesome with local flavours and tastes. The Mandaram Villas has a relaxing atmosphere, with a refreshing pool and the magnificent sounds of the birds. The host is arranging the trips to Alleppey, to the mountains, to ayurveda or homeopath upon request. He is always very generous and helpful! The white sand beach is very close, about 300 metres from the property. It is cute to see and meet the local fishermen on the beach whether taking the boats to the sea or arriving with the loads of fish from the sea. The sea is extremely warm and although the waves might seem and feel quite overwhelming, it is safe to swim there. Approximately a kilometre away one can rent the sunbeds and have lovely food in the beach restaurants. I am grateful for the hospitality we received and would definitely come back! Thank you! 🙏🏻🌞

This is one of those place where you feel immediately at home. Allwyn and Jency are just perfect hosts and lovely people. Warm and caring with an open mind and genuinely interested. Jency home-made diners are full of love and delicious. The staff is also very welcoming and respectful. Their 5 sweet dogs are calm and gentile. I was staying in the room with the private pool, the pool is great, everything is decorated with a big eye for details, the garden is lovely and the room is just perfect with a great open air bathroom. The surroundings are lovely, located in a quiet street just a few meters away from the beach. A big plus are the bicycles, which are available for all guests. Marari is a great place to discover by bike. I booked three nights here but I decided to come back because after one month of traveling this was the place which I liked best. I highly recommend a stay at Marari Dreamz and hope to be back.

Just about everything! It was so peaceful, the birdsong reminded me of being in the Amazon, Edward is a great host, he is attentive without being too much and will help you with anything you need. I was there for 3 weeks and had dinner there most nights, good food! For me it was just about perfect, I was looking somewhere to be quiet and meditative, it was a bit like being on retreat in paradise! The local people are a delight, so open hearted and friendly and just 5 minutes from the beach.

Marari Lotus Beach Villa is a very beautiful and quite homestay, with clean and spacious room and a patium with your own seats and table open on a green and calm small garden. Only two minutes walk and you reach a wonderful beach not crowded, with palm trees and gold sand. The family is really lovely and full of heart, always helpful and absolutely nice. Furtheremore Mom (helped by her two daughters) is a great cook and we have had really special dinners, with fresh fishes just caught We have really loved everythings of this place and our stay, so we absolutely suggest and reccomand this homestay

Stayed February 10,2024. We were looking for a quiet village beach stay. Our first homestay and it was a treat. The most welcoming and peaceful place to stay. We stayed in the family room with beautiful hand painted decor and the most lovely bathroom. Gallons of hot water, comfortable bed ....a truly peaceful retreat. We felt part of the famiky. The beach a short walk away. We ith no trace if consumerism..Local fishing boats and nets ready for the next journey to sea. A visit around the garden talking about the vegetables and herbs and how they were used was a highlight for me. We had an Incredible keralan evening meal and breakfast . We came as strangers and left as friends. A truly wonderful stay. Thank you
