Hygge Somerset is a beautiful place, so cozy with good location (esp for Millfield parents), very friendly neighbourhood, nice room with comfy bed, good breakfast with so many choices... I received a very warm welcome despite messing the hosts around with my arrival time. I was offered a cup of tea with access to a selection of herbal teas and distilled water. The view on the Tor was breathtaking. It can be seen from the balcony at the property. I've received recommendations about local area but the conversations felt intuitive. They only happened when needed so I always had my own space. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet soft. I also appreciated that there were additional blankets in the room.

I loved it! I could stay there for a week! Paula, our hostess, makes it so welcoming and comfortable! Everything is spot on. The lovely breakfast room. The wonderful breakfast. The homemade jam! ( Leave room in your suitcase!). The gardens are beautifully, complete with a dining table so you can enjoy the garden. The linens are wonderful. Plus, there are flannels (washcloths)! The location is perfect. Sleep with the windows open. Paula, is the best! There is no need to go anywhere else!

The propriety was amazing, in the city center but still very quiet. I stayed there twice in the same week. One time with a friend and the second time alone. My first room had the abbey garden and mont Tor view which was amazing and my second room had the propriety garden view, very beautiful as well. I'd wake up to the sound of birds singing. The room size and bathroom size were also very good, with plenty of space for all my needs. The breakfast was excellent, all made in house and very filling. George and Mary-Elizabeth were super attentive and always willing to make the best of my stay. I will definitely stay there again.

Room was sheer luxury. Loved the deep bathtub, the entire suite. I loved the Gothic feel of the house plus the design and history. I made some friends during my one-night stay. Tony is an excellent host.
