With a view over the sea, this reminded me of all the movies of the French west coast. The rooms were nicely decorated, a lot of care making it feel real homely. The piece the resistance was the bath tub that just begged you to get in. Such a real nice old free standing one. The host was not just kind but also entertaining with his magic tricks during a rich but British breakfast

Excellent location - only a short distance from country walks and climbs, waterfalls, sea, beaches and small towns with lots to do. Fantastic host - Ruth really went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Great breakfast - for a small guest house the breakfast was amazing, so many options from the buffet plus a cooked breakfast of my choosing each morning. A beautiful peaceful getaway!

Brilliant views of mountains, Anglesey and bangor. Clean comfortable rooms. Scenery changing from clear to misty and anywhere in-between. Richard and Jennifer were great hosts and made the stay even more enjoyable.

Susanne was a fantastic host - she made us feel so welcome and spoilt me rotten on my birthday! The room was very comfortable with breathtaking views of the mountains as well as the sea. Susanne offered a variety of delicious breakfast choices. Nothing was too much trouble and she kindly recommended places to visit - we absolutely loved the Aber Falls! We had a very memorable few days here and enjoyed every minute. Thank you, Susanne!

Convenient location; clean, comfortable, large room with a great view of the sea. Pub downstairs served an excellent dinner and, since it was Friday night, we got the fish and chips special for only ten pounds each. Our host, Gavin, was cheerful, helpful and hard-working - he did everything! We were really impressed by him.

Ellie gave our family such a heartfelt welcome, lasting in all the major and small details that we came across during our stay at Woodbriar. The place has a homey feeling, run with thoughtful care, clearly putting the value of a genuine hospitality above all else. Impeccably clean property with many welcoming items aiming at guests' comfort: bathrobes (even for our kids, which they adored!), plenty of towels and toiletries, many lovely and practical touches in the kitchenette, bathroom and the rooms. The location is convenient and pretty. Not being a very efficient driver, I struggled a bit with parking, but then, so I do at a large Tesco parking lot 😅 The bedrooms are just so cozy and cannot be more welcoming after a whole day of outdoors. There is a pleasant warm ambient temperature in the house. We grew to love the kitchenette and the little pantry, where Ellie's expert housekeeper's keen consideration and generosity saved us from the frantic, last minute shopping in the unfamiliar surroundings, with tired kids after the full day of hiking. Guests occupy the entire ground floor which consists of two bedrooms, a separate bathroom and a kitchenette in the spacious hallway. Even though there is no cooker or a kitchen sink, Ellie made sure our kitchen use needs were fully met. Ellie dear, when back home, I'll be missing the magic dishes basket emptying itself 🙈! Some reviewers mentioned they didn't get to meet the owners more than once, well, we found that they miraculously made their presence both feasible in terms of service, yet invisible to make for our privacy. Such courteous and caring hosts, rightly proud of their small yet impressive business. All our gratitude and respect to you Ellie and Gavin!

There wasn't anything not to like!! The host was fantastic, the views were spectacular, the food was to die for, and the service was impeccable. Our room was the best we've stayed in while in the UK, the hosts have done an amazing job of transforming a very old structure, into a modern B&B without losing a bit of its old world charm.

Nos alojamos en la Cream Room del Townhouse, muy espaciosa y bonitamente decorada. La cama era muy cómoda y teníamos una pequeña zona de relax junto a la ventana con dos sillas y una mesa. El baño también era amplio y bien distribuido. Pedimos que nos incluyeran el desayuno todos los días y la verdad es que acertamos 100%. Todo buenísimo, con productos de calidad. Eso nos animó también a reservar el Sunday Roast. Espectacular. Finalmente, aunque no menos importante, agradecemos el trato recibido por todo el personal. Muy profesional y a la vez cercano.
