Room was good size and beds were comfortable. Tea, coffee was provided. As the name indicates the house is old and therefore the plumbing is kind of old as well. But it functions and that is all it matters. Hotel is in center of old town with all the restaurants, coffee shops and shops on the doorstep. Restaurant, and JC bar are connected to the hotel.

Such a lovely place to stay. I was looking for a place other than the hotel chains for our one night stay near Gatwick airport. So worth the short taxi ride. Our room was impeccable. The outside area was lovely to sit in and enjoy the house beers in the afternoon, and our coffee in the morning. Dinner inside was delicious in a space full of character. The friendly staff were fantastic. Service was great.

Everything. Very welcoming and considerate touches, eg guest snacks and sweets. Lovely decor. Excellent shower and very comfortable bed. As we were leaving early, the packed breakfast was appreciated.

Perfect for a romantic getaway. The cottage is lovely, clean, and equipped with everything one might need. You can even watch netflix on the TV. The surrounding area is really pretty and tranquil. A delicious breakfast was brought to our room in the morning. Highly recommended, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come again!

Caroline was the perfect host. She couldn't have been more helpful. The Greyhound is exquisite..the fairytale English country pub in the most idyllic location. Furnishings so appropriate, such a comfortable atmosphere, with NO loud music constantly keeping you company! The balcony rooms are spacious with excellent comfy bed and bathroom with balcony with lovely table and chairs to get the most of the rural retreat and all just 5 minutes away from the delights of Hever Castle and Penshurst place for Tudor History fans! This place is a total gem! Thank you Caroline for making us so welcome.
