The staff, especially on the first night, were excellent. Friendly and helpful. Food was great too, though perhaps another option for vegetarians so you don’t have the same things each day but the quality was excellent. Also appreciated that despite the bar being open and busy, music was quietened at a reasonable time for those needing an early night.

The location of the hotel was great, within walking distance of the town and the railway station. The grounds and main building were beautiful. The staff were great and very accommodating with requests. We had a room in the coach house and it was quiet, as requested, despite there being a wedding on. The breakfast the next day was nice with a selection of hot and cold choices.
