A lovely seaside vibe with bohemian flair. I stayed in the downstairs Salmon room which was very nice and had a little outdoor private nook with table and chairs. There is a large tile sunken tub with large rainshower fixture. Unfortunately for me, Michael (the wonderful host) wasn't there when I arrived, and I self checked in. It was rather deep and I am slightly disabled, so I was afraid to use it (fearing I would be naked and alone and unable to get out lol). However, I found out the next morning at breakfast that all I had to do was call, and Michael has a step available for those of us not physically fit. I wish I had known that or called the night before because it looked fabulous. So just a note to those who may feel intimidated by that... ask for the step. (Suggestion to Micheal - maybe pop one into the little hall closet on the regular as it was the first place I looked). On that note, for me, the best aspect of the stay was the graciousness of the host. First, he provided a lovely breakfast that aimed to please your specific wants. Additionally, he took time with me that morning to give advice, connect me with a car service at a cheaper rate to give a ride to the train station that evening, gave me tips for my visit to Holy Island that day. Plus, he let me keep my luggage there until the evening. On top of all that, I had a mechanical issue with my rollator walker that would have really ruined the rest of my trip. He came over with his tools and fixed it for me. So, he was just a wonderful and gracious host, and I would gladly stay again! Thank you for everything, Michael.

Everything we wanted for a one night stopover while heading north to Scotland. Loved the location, very quiet & private, and good value too. A good supper in the Craster Arms, and lovely breakfast in the local cafe. We stopped at Bamburgh Castle the following morning - what a place, would love to have stayed longer.

ADORABLE! The pictures honestly don't do it justice. We stayed in the cottages and it was just wonderful. Sleepy and quiet, comfortable, great bathrooms and comfy bed. The food was great and the staff super friendly. Very walkable and quiet neighborhood. Pet friendly -- it was adorable to see all the dogs (made us miss ours back home). Great location if you want some seaside fun and visiting Bamburg Castle .
