Fabulous mid 19th century building in Niort. the bedroom was stunning with high ceilings and tons of room with a very comfortable bed. The en-suite was modern and elegant. if you’re visiting Niort or driving through France (as I was) this is a very pleasant change form the usual hotel offering. The very friendly owners were there to greet me at the door, even though my arrival was quite late. Breakfast was wonderfully French with fruit, yoghurt, crepes, homemade jams and local cheese. Definitely worth trying out if you’re a traveller or a visitor.

WOW! What a surprise treasure! Kevin hosted us with such kind hospitality, in a stunningly beautiful location. The chateau and garden is superb, with huge rooms beautifully decorated and every comfort you could wish for. Breakfast was fantastic and fresh and very generous. We only stayed one night as a stopover but wish we could stay for a week. Very good value, ideal for a family stay to explore Marais Poitevin region or to stop on a cycling/walking tour.

We chose this property en route to Spain. It was 5 and half hrs drive from the ferry port of Cherbourg, were we docked after our 4 & a half hrs journey from Poole, Dorset. It was beautiful, private, secure & relaxing. Definitely well equipped, for a those wanting a longer stay than ours, which sadly was just overnight. Sylvie & Alaine we’re lovely hosts, very friendly, warm and welcoming. Embarrassingly our French wasn’t as good as Alaine’s English. They had supplied us with local biscuits, milk, tea, coffee and some cold drinks. Which we very much appreciated. There was also a swimming pool that we could have used, but sadly time didn’t permit, on this occasion. We would with out a doubt recommend this property and would definitely stay again if travelling the same route again.

The bed was comfortable and the whole room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The host was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. I had an early start so didn't stay for breakfast but I was offered sandwiches which I could take away and they were lovely. I can't recommend this property enough.
