Great breakfast - Top quality of the bedroom (pink bedroom) with smell of rose - Great welcome by Virginie and her daugther - Exceptional site with peacock, peahen, hens and donkey. More especially the breakfast which is served in a very beautiful place where we can discuss withs other guests, eating eggs from the law yards and listenning the Virginie's advices about the places to visit.

We stayed at Le Baptistere for 5 days to relax after a week of touring. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and offered plenty of space. We also had our own personal outside area with comfortable chairs, which we used most evenings to relax with a glass or two of vin rouge! Breakfast was served in the main house by the owner/host, who has impeccable standards. We were treated each morning to a selection of delicious pastries, jams, fresh baguettes and plenty of coffee. There is a large heated swimming pool to cool off after a day’s sightseeing. Our 5 days experience was made so much more enjoyable by the host, who is such a warm and friendly person, she offered plenty of advice on the local area/places to visit and throughout our stay she was very thoughtful by adding a few extra touches (without being intrusive). We would not hesitate in recommending a stay at Le Baptistere…and we would love to return at some point.

Breakfast was delicious and a real French treat. The bed and breakfast was a lovingly restored and updated historical building that was warm and cozy. I had a view of the castle from my bedroom. The host was incredibly friendly and kind. I felt extremely safe here as a solo traveller.

Spotless cleanliness, comfortable beds, tasteful decoration, great breakfast, fantastic location in the middle of Compiegne forest and charming hosts - all of that makes le Moulin de l'Ortille one of the best places we've ever stayed in France.
