Silentium really lives up to its name. It is located in glorious bucolic surroundings. It was very quiet and peaceful and we thought that the tranquillity and calmness of the house helped to create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. We were especially appreciative of the air conditioning in the room given that the weather was unseasonably hot. We liked the large and luxurious shower and found the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent; varied, delicious and with superb coffee and tea. We were offered kind and welcoming hospitality, and particularly appreciated the suggestions about local places to visit on our bikes as we wanted to take advantage of the excellent cycling in the area.

We arrived earlier than expected on our motorbike,soaking wet from a rainstorm and were warmly greeted by the hosts . From then on our stay just got better and better. Luxurious bedroom with a lovely view of the beautiful gardens. Our hosts then offered to drive and collect us from a local restaurant. After a very comfortable night's sleep we were then treated to a delicious breakfast including tasty homemade bread and jams,eggs from their chickens, local ham, and cheeses.
