Maria and Wayne were very friendly. They tried to reach out to us before arrival. Upon arrival, Maria had the room heater running, prepared bath robes, chocolates and Port. Breakfast was handmade and we were surprised by the huge scrumptious spread that we had a menu to choose from. Plus they had a really lovely garden that was very well taken care of. There was a guide book on nearby dining options. Maria gave us recommendation for Bruny Island and offered to help take photos before we checked out of the place.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Walton House. Beautifully decorated and lovely furnishings. Very comfortable bed, quiet, clean and able to walk to local restaurants. Wouldn’t hesitate returning. Nice touch leaving a box of goodies for breakfast and snacks. Thank you.

We stayed in the Heritage Suit which was the perfect place to completely switch off from the outside world. The view from the outside deck is great, the property has so much history and is maintained very well. There are lots of extra touches that Garry provides, such a s breakfast cereals and even port and chocolates, something that is very rare to come by. The fire place was all set up and all you have to do is light a match, it's such a cosy but generously sized property, the perfect place for a cold Tasmanian night. The fact this is available for under $200 a night is a complete steal! I would definitely recommend staying here and if we are in the area again, we shall be rebooking!

Charming historical house in very good condition. The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, provided a great breakfast, and a fascinating historical tour of the adjacent hop kiln. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable, Judi had thought of so much, love the chocolates, lollies cakes great variety of teas and coffee I received an upgraded breakfast. The bed was firm, warm and bath gowns. Could not faulter.
