It is a traditional pension outside the village and closer to the mountains. - very nice and old-style but with renovated rooms inside. The location is both great - you get the best views - but can be an issue if you don't come by car. In case you check on the old reviews - the room seem to be renovated recently with a new furniture as well. The heating was working so we had no issues with the temperature at night. There is a kettle with coffee/tea and mountain spring water in the room. I really enjoyed the service we got from the couple that is managing the hotel - both in the evening and in the morning. They even put a game for our kid in the room. Overall it exceeded my expectations - we had great time, great breakfast we felt being cared about and got a breathtaking photos. I think that is the reason it really deserves a solid 9+.

We rented one of the apartments and felt instantly at home. The photos on booking.com are a little outdated, as Frau Leo has since redecorated. She is also a very friendly host and made sure that we lacked of nothing.

Prettier than the pictures. We kept waiting to run into Julie Andrews😎 Staff was so friendly. Place was meticulous. Very quiet and simply felt special. Convenient to towns on either side of mountain. Stay here…you will love it.

Big rooms with balconies, nice breakfast! Perfect place if you want to do some hiking in the area there are a lot of great trails and landmarks. Or even visit Salzburg it’s not that far away by car or by train.

You have everything you need and kitchen is fully equipped-with plates, pots, glasses for wine, coffee and etc. 30 mins from Salzburg and 10 mins from hallein. Marienne was a great host and was very helpful, prepared everything. There are few grocery stores in kuchl center, a big interspar in hallein. Highly Recommend!

View from the rooms we had is to the mountains which were nice. Rooms had shared balconies. They serve a good breakfast and plenty of room for guests to use indoors or outdoors seating. The lobby is interesting and also when you can find a vending matching for those late-night cravings. Our kids loved the bunk beds and playing with the large chess figures outside. The location has an elevator - this is rare and a much-welcome treat.
