Matilda was an amazing host! We My husband and I arrived earlier than our designated check-in time, and though Matilda was busy making up the rooms, she invited us in and offered us coffee and homemade raki. We sat on the porch and talked to her brother while enjoying our refreshments (also munching on the fresh traditional cookies her mother had made). Everything after check-in was equally special, from yummy and copious meals (all traditional dishes) to homemade white and red wine. We were sorry to have to leave early for a bus back to Tirana, because it meant missing a final meal on the terrace with views of the castle. But Matilda's husband drove us to the bus-stop (free of charge) and packed a breakfast for us to eat on our trip. Her entire family is kind and hospitable, going out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We would definitely stay again!!

The host Maria was very kind and attentive. She welcomed us in front of the property and showed us our room. The property is in the Old city and very close to the Bazaar and all the restaurants, cafeteria and historic sites in Gjirokaster. We've had an amazing time and I truly recommend Maria and her lovely house.

It was a pleasant experience. The property is few minutes walk from the historic centre. If you are coming by bus, you will need to walk uphill to reach the property, but once you are there you will not have climb anymore to see the attractions in city. Owner was really helpful, gave the all the instructions on how to reach and what to see. We were served home made Albanian breakfast which was highlight of our stay. It was delicious and we enjoyed it in the backyard among fruit trees and plants. If you are looking for place to stay in Gjirokaster just choose this one. You will not regret :)

That's a great place! The owner helped us a lot, was super sweet and even made us amazing herbal tea :3 The view from the terrace is astonishing and I was absolutely mesmerized by it, that was one of the best breakfasts I ever had (food was also delicious!)

The guesthouse is located in a quiet spot above Gjirokastres bazar (about 10 minutes walking) with a beautiful view upon the castle. The host is really kind and helpful, sent us detailed instructions about how to reach the place, and helped navigate with directions. The house is located on a quite steep and narrow road, and there are a couple of parking spots outside the house. The host speaks great English and communication was always fast and smooth. The room is spacious with tasteful details, cozy and comfortable, facilities and equipment seem new and everything is in perfect condition. The bed is so big and comfy, we really appreciated it! The breakfast (not included, but absolutely worth it!) is soooo delicious! Made with fresh and homemade ingredients, kept us going for the entire day! I would absolutely stay here again, I wish it was longer than 2 nights!

    When they bring their room description and booking management in order it's totally recommendable. I'd booked a 20m² room with sofa, balcony and view but got a 14m² room without none of it. A bit disappointing. Apart from that I have only words of praise left. A charming family owned place with only four rooms. Tastefully restored with quality materials. Spotless clean. A nice cosy patio. Good and quiet location just 5 min.s walk from the bustling Old city center. Very kind and welcoming reception.

    Nice room with beautiful view. After arriving by autobus, we even got picked up. Nice picnic areas. Hotel in a quiet area, we did not even hear, when the window was opened. But in max. 10 mins walking distance to the bazar. Fresh fruits for breakfast.

    Big and comfortable room in a beautiful part of the city centre. There are some parking spots (private) right outside the hotel, but it’s better to call the hotel so they can “reserve” them. Great breakfast.

    Great location, walking distance from the bazaar and castle. Very nice hosts, we received free fresh fruits upon arrival. Very nice breakfast delivered to our balcony with a view on the castle. The owner's mom is a professional piano player and we loved hearing her practice.

    Clyde was a great host and we were well looked after. The guest house is a great quiet location in the old town, with superb panoramic views from the terrace where a great breakfast is also served. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Ideal location making it easy to get to despite it being in the old town, and only a 10 minute walk to the centre! Thank you for a great and relaxing stay!
