46 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, WAY SHIRAKAWAGO - Private, Free Parking and Newly Opened 2022 WAY SHIRAKAWAGO is a recently renovated property set in Shirakawa and offers air-conditioned... The room was super spacious - the biggest one on our trip to Japan. I slept on the japanese style matress on the floor and it was super confortable. They have a very well equiped kitchen. And they offer a few drinks, jam, bread, and also 1 curry and rice per person, which was really nice. They have a beatiful and very helpful handmade guide for shirakawago, that stays on the main table - we used it to find good restaurants, attractions, and also learned about the history of the village. The isolation from the cold was very good - but I don't know if we could avaluate that super well, since it was a ratter warm night for Shirakawago's standards. They only had 1 shower/tub and 2 toilets. At first it got me worried it would be jammed to shower/use the toilet. But I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to shower and never had to wait to use the toilet, even with the place in full capacity. After all, the place is small with few rooms. Since it is really expensive to stay in Shirakawago, it wasn't that cheap. But it was a very fair price for the great experience we had.

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll. Excellent location, close to everything but still quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well.

Only one group stays per day -Kanouya-家族や仲間と貸し切り宿 加納屋 enjoys a location in Nakatsugawa, just 12 km from Enakyo Wonderland and 32 km from Japan Taisho Village. Good location and all the equipements you need for cooking are here.

Right in the centre of Takayama, set within a short distance of Takayama Station and Takayama Festival Float Exhibition Hall, Karin House offers free WiFi, air conditioning and household amenities... The comfort of a Japanese home away from home. All facilities made our stay easy. We loved cooking dinner and enjoyed a very relaxed two days in Takayama. Convenient to have a separate bath/shower area and washing machine+dryer. Three bedroom was perfect for our family of five. The location of the house is very convenient as well, just a few minutes away from the temple, old streets and market. Also close to supermarkets. We will definitely book this place again to explore the region a bit more.

Set in Nakatsugawa, 21 km from Ōi and 21 km from Enakyo Wonderland, GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA offers air conditioning. Amazing location in Magome, right on the main path. The owner is very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here. It’s very comfy and spacious and in a historic home. :)
