In the Hakone Yumoto Onsen district of Hakone, close to Hakone-Yumoto Station, HAKO REIRO 箱・玲瓏 features barbecue facilities and a washing machine.

This was the best accommodation during our Japan-Trip. Everything is so beautifully designed, the hosts must be very keen on design. It‘s closed to the city center so you can easily stroll around the town. It was very clean. The Appartement has a welcoming, warmhearted atmosphere and is stylish at the same time. I wish the host my very best for the future! If we will return for a Japan-Trip Hakone and HAKO REIRO are on our bucket list. Thank you especially for the games, we appreciated them very much.

Beautiful place and facilities. Super friendly host. The washer wasn't working on our first day so she collected our clothes and made sure they were washed and dried.

It was great to have a large private house all to ourselves. It was clean and pleasant, the kitchen was well equipped, and it's easy to get everywhere around the Hakone area by bus or train. For railway enthusiasts, you can easily walk to two of the railway switchbacks. There's a convenience store next to Ohiradai station (a 2-minute walk) and a few more stores at a 10-minute bus ride. The owner was available for questions and helped us operate the equipment.

It's amazing to stay in Hakone. The village is very green, in a valley between tall mountains and a river nearby. The house had everything we needed, and we loved to use the barbecue. The karaoke works amazingly. The nearest onsen (from what we've seen) is around 20 minutes walking (but it's a climb).
