Spornberg is nothing short of magic. Before you even arrive you know you are about to experience something special. So much love and intention has gone into creating this place. From the moment you arrive, you feel like family. Hilda’s breakfasts and if you’re lucky to be there on a Thursday her weekly dinner, are next level. She is a gem of a human. Rafael’s knowledge and connection to their guests made the stay so much more personal and special. Thomas, his spirit and creative vision is woven throughout the whole place, you need to experience it to understand. Karin, such a kind soul who you can tell is the glue that holds it all together there. We stayed in the largest unit, the hot tub was fantastic and the views from every door and window were awe inspiring. The decor and minimalist aesthetic blends the land and nature right into where you are staying. The pool was refreshing and 10/10 recommend. My only regret was having to leave. I dream of the moment I can return, and plan to do so.

The room is quite spacious, with one bedroom and one living room with a good kitchen equipped of oven and microwave and dishwasher. We cooked the dinner for a few nights in the kitchen and it was so easy to use, which is good for a family and for a long stay. We also had a lot of luggage but the room entrance is just in front of the parking area. The owner is living in the same building and is quite friendly and helpful during your stay. He is taking care of everything quickly if you have some questions and/or requests. You can also get a Ritten card which is able to access all transportations and museums in the Bolzano area, including a cable car and mountain railways. You can also watch the iceman with this car for free...! On the clear sky day, you can enjoy the nice view of mountains with Bolzano and Soprabolzano from the balcony.

The apartment is finished to a very high standard with lots of additional personal touches. There is a great view from the balcony - but note, it is not a mountain view as such. For a mountain view, you need to drive up a further 200m in height to Oberbosen. It's 5 mins in the car on very small country roads. The location is out of the way and very peaceful, although at weekends there can be additional visitors frequenting the excellent cafe / restaurant on the ground floor. The cook has a deserved reputation for her delicious potato dumplings (Knödel) and different sorts of strudel. We also appreciated living on a working farm with the possibility to buy fresh farm produce - free range eggs, butter, milk, cured ham / sausages, homemade cordials etc. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

We stayed at the farm for the first time with our three children, ages 9, 7, and 1, with space to play, toys and books to enjoy, and farm animals to observe and learn about; our stay sparked many questions about the origins of every meal and an intrinsic appreciation for the effort put forth for dairy, meat and eggs to find their way to the grocery store. Your stay at Ebernhof will satisfy your thirst for an authentic farm lifestyle - Be sure to use the Ritten card provided for a complimentary visit to the Bolzano Museum of Archaeology. Even the children were amazed by this family-friendly adventure. The suite itself is impeccably clean and boasts a perfectly equipped kitchen. A high chair and crib were lovingly provided, along with beautiful dishware and linens. It is comfortable and has a stunning mountain view to top it all off.
