Very nice accommodation in the farm house in the remote place. Hosts are very pleasant and can show you all the animals. Unfortunately verbal communication was not easy because we don't speak Italian and they don't speak English :) They also help to keep warm in the ovens when I was not there. Please be aware that you should keep fire in ovens (there is also fun heater in the bathroom) and one of the ovens is on the walkway so small children should be careful not to touch it. Also keep in mind that because of the stove heating there is a smell of fire and your clothes will also have such a smell. And prepare warm socks or sleepers because the floor is cold.

Perfect for excursions because it is centrally located and yet quiet. Very clean and very comfortable accommodation. Even with four people spacious enough. Furnished with love for details and taste. There is always mobile phone/internet reception, so we did not miss wifi. Very warm welcome. Quick and always very friendly communication. The view of the wooded valley from both bedrooms is unbeatable. Everything you need is available in the small town (pizzeria, bar, café, supermarket, post office). Free parking spaces are available opposite the house on the level below the main road. The hill is ideal for long hikes with unique views. Our best accommodation in toscany so far.

Thank you for the lovely, quiet and relaxing stay. We really enjoyed our time in Montieri. It was very nice to have Giorgia as a contact person who could also speak English (our Italian is still very bad). We cannot understand the previous very bad review. As we know from other Tuscan houses, cutlery etc. is in the dining table :-) I think if you had asked, you would also have found the bottle opener and the large selection of cutlery in the dining table. We were impressed by the location with chestnut forests, the legacy of old mines and the sustainable use of geothermal energy. Anyone interested in volcanoes and sustainable heating methods should definitely visit the “Parco Naturalistico Le Biancane”. The house was equipped with vegan soap, lots of cleaning products, a washing machine and a modern heating system (hot water and heating are sustainable). There is a modern induction cooker in the kitchen. Everything is available in Montieri, a shop, bakery, bar, butcher and pizzeria. We recommend booking as a couple or family as there are no doors between each floor. We were very happy that this sustainable and relaxing tourism could also exist.
