The hosts live on the property, so there was no issue with collecting the keys. In fact, the property is secluded and in a very safe area, where leaving the doors unlocked is probably fine (we often did). We really enjoyed talking to the hosts (two sisters and the husband of one of them), who are very proud of their heritage -- and who showed us a family mini-museum they assembled in one of the small buildings on the property. While the property is peaceful, quiet (aside from the sounds of nature), and away from light pollution, it is only a very short drive from excellent food and the urban attractions of Areopolis. At night, the whole yard is lit by candlelight, with soft music playing in the background, and there are water fountains, hammocks, and seating alcoves, for a truly magical experience. We were the only occupants at the time, and we loved having the entire place to ourselves, but there is plenty of space to share either with or away from other occupants.

Amazing traditional tower 10 minutes away from Areopoli by car. Very quiet location, with a beautiful garden to enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner. The room was spacious and modern, inside a very old traditional Mani tower, and the host, Mr. Dimitris, was more than helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived, to the minute we left. We'll surely come back to stay here when we visit Mani again, summer or winter!
