Top value for money, we really like the location , from one hand, you really feel you are in a greek village from the other you are very close to main route, the host really made sure we had everything we need and showed great hospitality. The appartment is very spaicious and well equiped, the pool was also great , not big but we were alone so it fit our needs. 10 min drive from the village you get to kournas lake which for us was better than any hotel pools , also there is a great tavern few min walk from the appartment. We highly recommand.

The house was very spacious inside, with 2 large bedrooms, each having its own bathroom. There were 4 outside terrace areas so we always had somewhere to sit with a panoramic views and a choice of sun or shade. The pool was small, but plenty big enough for a relaxing swim after a hot day out. Kastellos is a traditional Cretan mountain village, away from the tourist crowds, very peaceful. It is only 10 minutes drive to a great choice of long sandy beaches. There are also well mapped walks in the in the hills around by a group called Chania Trails that we enjoyed. All sounds nice, yes? But on top of that is Maria's Taverna in the village with delicious freshly made traditional food and the warmest of welcomes. We all fell in love with Maria and her family. Don't miss the zucchini fritters or the yoghurt and home made fig jam.

Lovely family vacation in this apartment. Very tasteful home in decoration and style. The roof terrace is huge with a nice mountain view. The pool is not that big but it was perfect for our situation: Kids age 5 and 7 as they could play in it without our help (of course with supervision but usually we have to be in the pool with them if it is bigger). That gave the parents the opportunity to actually relax in the sunchairs as the kids entertained themselves for hours which was just fantastic. The host Tanja was very kind, helpful and flexible. Thank you!

The Villa is fantastic ! - with beautiful views over the Olive groves and the sea in the distance. Just a short drive up from the coast into the countryside, so if you want a quite relaxing holiday it's perfect. A lovely garden and patio with a large pool and plenty of seating and shade available when you need it. However, the best thing about this villa are the owners, you couldn't want for better hosts, very friendly and attentive, they checked multiple times that everything was ok with our stay and even brought us various treats during our stay :-) Fabulous - can't recommend enough !

Great modern apartment with full kitchen. Fabulous swimming pool area with outstanding views. Very friendly hosts. The location is little bit remote. I was here in April so lots of places not yet open. Great supermarket nearby. Beach 5 minutes drive. You do need a car when staying here.

Very peaceful and comfortable spot with a mini view of the lake from the deck and easy walk down to stores and restaurants.
