Spotlessly clean, modern, well equipped kitchen area, good shower, comfortable bed, good wifi. Everything top quality throughout the accommodation. The village was wonderfully quiet, with a small but well-stocked shop, a basic pub and an hourly train to the city of Graz. A good base to explore this lesser-known region of Austria, provided you have a car. Tip: a pleasant 30 minute walk along quiet lanes takes you to the Buschenschank of Erich Christiner, with excellent and affordable wines and food. Just check the irregular opening hours.

Great house, in a quiet area. The view from the house is amazing. Spacious rooms with everything necessary. There was a table tennis outside which was very nice. I highly recommend!

The couple andreas and andrea and her kids were authentic, friendly and sympathetic! Their knowledge of wine and their individual approach for customers made it easy for us to choose a good selection and feel comfortable in their family place. Every detail was filled with love!

Apartment Liendl is a true hidden gem and our stay there was unforgettable! Gerhard welcomed us kindly at the apartment with a bottle of superb local wine, marmalade, honey, butter, eggs as well as fresh bagels every morning. The property consists of several apartments gathered around a beautiful courtyard with fountain, little garden with vines and a short meadow path that ends with a vineyard and offers a breathtaking view of a large valley with deers. Everyday we were excited to go out and check what the deers where up to, we even found a binocular in the apartment so we could watch them closely. Also, we had a privilege to meet dog Hektor. :) Apartment had a charming feel of former times when life was slower and without everyday stress of contemporary times. We loved that and enjoyed it to the fullest. Besides that, the accommodation was very warm, cozy and has everything you might need. The location was great - we enjoyed the Volcano Route 66 drives, geo trail hiking and Riegersburg Castle which is 5,6 km from the apartment. Zotter chocolate factory is in 15 mins of walk if that is what you're interested in. Also, a lot of local produce is sold in all kinds of shops nearby along the volcano route - ham, cheese, elderflower juice, a great distillery for rum, whiskey and gin, vinegar... You can even pick strawberries on your own and buy them. :) We regretted that we didn't buy something from the owners' shop but will do so when we come back. For sure, this is a place that relaxes you and recharges your batteries to fullest, we couldn't recommend it enough, as well as this wonderful region.
