We landed at Heraklion just after the flooding. The weather outside was not so good, and as you can imagine, the mood also. However, it became better once we approached the hotel after 20-25 min of driving and met the host. The hotel, located not so far from the sea, is built on a mountain slope, like rice terraces in the Philippines. The access and parking were very convenient. We took a few steps up from the parking to the reception and were met by the host. He helped us to order a meal and led us to the room. The room was cozy. The view the next morning and the breakfast were superb. Moreover, the breakfast was different another day. We liked our stay at Minois. In general, the subtle & cozy hotel, the attitude of the host, and his recommendations, especially to visit the south, made our trip way better despite the bad weather in the Heraklion region.

Chris was an amazing dude! He was there receiving us, helped us with our curiosities on local stores and restaurants and other daily needs, thanks once again Sir! The apartment was cosy, beds were very comfortable especially catching up with sleep was sublime with the air conditioning. The location was great just across the road was the beach and at least 2KM stretch of restaurants, gift shops and many more just adjacent to beach. We hired a car so traveling to Matala, Knossos and other places was easy and interesting. Would surely recommend for anyone who wants to go around Heraklion region to make this as their port of retreat 🙂.
