There is only 1 main accommodation area and the house has high roof, so it feels very open and spacious for me. Well ventilated with plenty of fresh air and natural light. I loved the feel of a wooden Japanese house. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the outdoor kitchen, lovely outdoor cooking experience; and outdoor areas, makes it easy to dry up after a rainy hiking day. The home is well equipped with racks and amenities (washing clothes, cooking). The host was so warm and caring, she checked in with you to provide necessary information on getting around and visiting Yakushima. Ask her about the meaning of the name Tomarigi, it’s very sweet. Thank you so much for my comfortable and close-to-nature stay, I had an amazing time!

Yakushima Pension Ichigoichie está en Yakushima, a 20 km de Shiratani Unsuikyo, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. The little pension is run by a lovely grandma and grandpa. Very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier, as they do not speak English, we managed to get the point across via translation apps. They offer yummy breakfast and can prepare nice bento for you if you ask for it for lunch. The location is great, near the airport, however car is optimal for the best experience. The location of the pension is close to all of the main routes and key activities. We were staying in the private bathroom room and were happy with the facilities.

Yakushima Cottage Kukai es un alojamiento con wifi gratis y vistas al mar que se encuentra en Yakushima. The owner of the hotel was very hospitable. Ecquiped with Google translator and brought me late at night to grocery shop! Such a lovely plave in the nature. Recommended!!

El Cottage Morinokokage ofrece servicio de alquiler de casas de campo con hamaca. Hay WiFi gratuita en las habitaciones. There was a shoe dryer and a melody device near the toilet for the privacy. It also had a massaging device and the shared laundry was free of charge. The blankets were warm. There was a shared room with vending machines for drinks and one machine for quick meals. It had microwave and a toaster. The host was friendly and they let us check in 1 hour earlier. Towels were provided for each day of our stay, also toothbrushes with a tiny paste, hygiene products and sponges. The bathroom was awesome and I loved the body soap, shampoo, and a conditioner that was provided. It was easy to find the facility from the road, as it has clear signs of where to turn. A large grocery store Ban Chan was 4 minutes drive away.

The host is extremely kind and attentive! She took care to help with dinner reservations, and the daily lunchtime bento was wonderful. She encourages guests to be respectful of each other due to some waking up very early for hikes, so the accommodation is warm and welcoming but also peaceful. It is clean and has everything you need.
