The accommodation is in the middle of beautiful nature, close to the thermal swimming pool, which can be reached by walk. There is also a very good restaurant very close. The accommodation was very clean and nicely equipped, we had everything we needed.

La habitación en su conjunto muy acogedora, las sábanas y toallas olían muy bien, los aseos y todo el alojamiento impecables. Además la asegunda noche vimos nuestras primeras auroras a las 4:00 am, fue lo más emotivo ya que es una zona propicia si está despejado. Recomendamos a todo huésped que vaya, quedarse más de una noche. Repetiremos si volvemos a Islandia!

Este establecimiento de gestión familiar ocupa un granero reformado situado en la localidad de Nordurfjordur, a 1 km del manantial geotermal de Krossnes. Las increíbles vistas del fiordo Nordurfjordur y sus ovejitas. La playa está a pocos pasos del alojamiento, se avistan focas y con suerte, creo que también ballenas. La piscina Krossnes de agua termal es excepcional, personal familiar y encantador. Mi mejor opción de baño termal en Islandia, además de ser significativamente la más económica y auténtica. El fiordo es un lugar remoto increíble, con gran tranquilidad. Servicios esenciales cubiertos: gasolinera, supermercado con pan delicioso y restaurante. Pequeño y bonito embarcadero.

It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

Spacious living room and kitchen were also available for us to use, so we could make ourselves tee and coffee and prepare meals.

We can’t recommend enough to visit Hólmavík and stay at Finna Hotel over the winter time. Perfect stay to split up the drive from Reykjavík to the Westfjords. First off the staff was super friendly and flexible, check in took no time at all. The room was really cosy. The view was amazing, easy to heat up or cool down the room. The bed was really comfortable and it was so nice to be able to make yourself a nice warm cup of coffee in the morning (or tea in the evening) and watch the sun rise over the harbour.
