Everything we needed was in waking distance and a local hot spring was a very short drive, we went twice!

We arrived ahead of our scheduled time, but our host was there, cleaning the houses, so we got our keys right away and also had a good chat with him. The system at Bjarkarholt Guesthouse is: do it yourself. So we had to make our own beds and also take off the linen and towels and stow them in a bag, when we left. It's not a big deal and you save some money. The houses have a working kitchen, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster. Wi-fi was fine too.

The location was great and the house was very very comfortable. We only stayed one night but slept really well and it is really a peaceful place to enjoy the West Fjords.
