The hotel is on the edge of town, by the river and easy to get to by car. The free parking was useful. We paid extra for a river view and were glad we did. The river is wide and fast flowing with rapids and it makes quite a view from a 4th floor window, with mountains in the distance!
The staff were welcoming and helpful.
The rooms were nicely done and everything was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied.
There is a restaurant in the hotel but also plenty of places to eat in the town too.
Down by the river there is an information board about the lava ‘bubbles’ in the rock - some interesting geology.
It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 7 km to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

The hot tubs were a great experience at the end of a long drive across the Icelandic south coast. There was a slight smell of sulphur to the tap water, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to such things. A great place to stay during the off-season; a complimentary room upgrade was a very welcoming touch.
Set in Selfoss, 23 km from Thingvellir National Park, Brú Country Estate offers accommodation with a restaurant and free private parking. Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy mountain views.

All. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Location in the middle of nowhere, but 15 min driving from Selfoss. Amazing breakfast. Common areas ( lobby and hot pot at sunset time was fantastic). I would go back again for sure!

We didn't actually get chance to see much of Selfoss itself as we were using the apartment as a Base for other excursions, great for south coast & golden circle as long as you're comfortable driving a hire car.
We are looking forward to visiting again in the future & seeing even more!

The Town has grown since I visited 7 years ago.
The Town has grown since I visited 7 years ago. The town pool is a great spot to go and relax. There is a fabulous food court across the street from the Hotel Selfoss -- great spot for drinks and dinner. You can still get a good hot dog in the parking lot of the Hotel Selfoss. The town is well located to visit waterfalls, geysers, and thermal pools. I would return.

A friendly town - we stayed in the camper site which was great and then a return visit to stay in a hotel and we ate in the food hall which was nice with options and variety. We also did the Skyr tour in the basement of the food hall. I would add that a wider and more of the “taste” section would be nice.
It’s a central spot to come back to or travel from and back if that suits your travel plans.

Selfoss has a sweet, mostly walkable, growing center that includes an easy, level river-walk. We found enough variety in the food hall to keep us well-fed and happy with the choices over several days. (It was recommended to us by a rental car agent at KEF. She was rightly enthusiastic about the tacos - and just about everything was solid!) Selfoss is also a great location near the Southern Coast for easy, varied day-trips - everything from amazing waterfalls to black-sand beaches, from otherworldly volcanic deposits to hot-springs, craters, and more. With Selfoss as our lodging spot, we could have happily explored for several more days.

Nice quiet town with more than just the waterfall.
Nice quiet town with more than just the waterfall. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Þingvellir national park is nearby with great views, hiking and (of course) several waterfalls. The fall colors were out during our visit the last week of September and only last a few days.
The bed was comfortable and quilt was warm. Very helpful to have luggage rack at foot of each bed. Good sized bathroom with 2 sinks. Loved the shower – good water pressure and temperature controlled via panel.
Restaurant at hotel served a delicious dinner and there was a generous breakfast spread. Hotel has a thermal bath with both indoor and outdoor pools.
We were so blessed to see the aurora from the terrace just outside our room. It was more than an hour of glorious display of Northern Lights 😊
1.Very good customer service and responsive. I booked two rooms but they only sent me the code for one. Called customer service and they were able to resolve the issue immediately.
2. I left my IPAD when I checked out but was able to recover the next day. Called customer service to check with the hotel staff. Customer service got back to me an hour later and verified the IPAD was found. Drove back to the property and recovered my IPAD.
3.Very good location in Selfoss. Good base for South Iceland Trips.
Self check-in was convenient as we arrived late evening, the host was very responsive and helpful in all communications. The apartment was spacious for our family of four, spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Great location - ideal for exploring the Golden Circle, a day trip to Vik and the hike to the 'hot river' from Hveragerði, also within walking distance (or 2 min drive) to restaurants and supermarkets. It was perfect!
Very nice hotel in the city center, with a private parking space. Room has a Nespresso machine (finally some decent coffee in Iceland!), and also a mini-bar which can be used to store some food which requires cooling (milk, eggs, butter, yogurt etc.). Bed was fantastic, as well shower room was very very good! super cool design as well. Breakfast was nice, but nothing too special (bacon, eggs, vegetables, cheese, ham, yogurt, etc.).
Great location and good base to discover the Golden Circle. Very original housing, confortable even with 2 kids (there is a second bed on the top of the main one), surprisingly quite spacious. Possible to sit outside to enjoy the surrounding forest, it was my daughter's birthday and she loved the setting. There is a shop and restaurant 5mn walk so it is very practical, there is a small kitchen inside the dome with all amenities.
My first stay in Iceland and thankful to have chosen Selfoss and this adorable apartment. everything was so great from communication with host to a warm welcome. the view is great of the river and over the small town of Selfoss. very spacious and practical apartment, excellent wifi and nice having a washer and dryer. this was such a great start to my Iceland adventure, highly recommend!
Location, baths, style, amenities, facilities, restaurant, breakfast, staff, dogs (yes, they have two lovely dogs there)... everything is flawless.
So If you need a base to explore the Golden Circle and adjacent areas, this is the perfect place.
To sum up, 360 is my favourite hotel in Iceland, and I hope to be back soon. <3
We had a cosy chalet on this quiet holiday camping site. The chalet was equipped with a comfortable bed, shower room and toilet, a fridge, microwave and two-ring hob. There was also a hot tub to use. Selfoss is a lovely town near the attraction on Iceland’s Golden Circle - there’s a good supermarket and good restaurants
Checkin was done at Hótel Skálholt's restaurant. The friendly staff pointed out the direction of our cottage for us to drive there. The cottage is quite a distance away though visible from the hotel. The surrounding of the cluster of cottages were serene and peaceful. Outdoor hot tub BBQ equipment were provided.
Room for four was a good size, not extra amenities besides what they say they include, and bathrooms were decent. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs, make sure to get your groceries that you need before. Near to few restaurants and some shops.
Breakfast was lovely everything you needed, the restaurant unfortunately wasn’t open due to renovations however we ate in Selfoss, hot tub was fun, we were left to our own devices and asked if we needed anything which was met with friendly staff.
Good and comfortable property, large bed and spacious bedroom
Quiet and rural location about 30mins drive from Selfoss town
Kitchen is well-equipped for cooking
Heating in the rooms/bathroom was good
Lovely rooms and hotel. Also close to area you can find shops and restaurant. Nice breakfast and also allowed us to take a take away coffee. 💕💕💕
