The roof pool had so much disinfectant in, that me and my mum realised our skin were actually pilling off so didn’t use anymore the pool. But beautiful to be there on top anyway to enjoy the sun. No lunch or dinner were served at all due some issues I think, but they were offering anyway an afternoon tea with some snacks that was actually so cute. One of the girl from the staff was a little rude, no smile and no hi to me at least. Don’t know the reason but I felt a little uncomfortable when I was see her around.

Beautiful position, close to everything, enjoyed the long walk and the night time all along. Always people around, beautiful location. Mostly all the staff were so friendly, room spectacular.

Nothing much that I disagreed with, other than perhaps the gym that needed a little upgrading.

Room is huge and comfortable. Been here several times, but never used the bathtub as it seems rather awkward, haha! Location is very good with many F&B options in the immediate locale.

Again, this is not because of the hotel, but seems to be the standard for smaller city hotels. The rooms are very limited in space and we were travelling with 2 big suitcases which made it a bit difficult. Also the bathroom is semi-private and unsual for Europeans. But once you get used to this standard in HCM, you cannot complain about the property.

Outstanding friendly staff, from check in to everybody on the floor. The best thing was the breakfast. The interior of the Restaurant is with a japanese theme and looked fantastic. The breakfast selection was outstanding. At the recepetion was a young gentleman who was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it.

The gym could be a lot better and is very under equipped and the ac in my room was underpowered. Left it on for 10 hours at 15°c but the room still felt warm and stuffy. Sound isolation between the rooms could be improved but at least there is no road noise. However the gym is the only reason I'm not giving the stay a 10 the other things are minor inconveniences

It was a rather hot winter and aircon in the hall way could've been stronger as it was really warm.

We booked Silverland Sakyo for the second half of our stay in Ho Chi Minh for 3 nights to be in close proximity to the river front for New Years Eve. We usually like to stay in boutique hotels, and Silverland Sakyo provided the boutique feel whilst located in a busy District 1 and a short walk to the river side. The hotel is super conveniently located within walking distance (if you can bear the heat) of some tourist attractions, and within little Tokyo and few short few minute walk away from the river side on a quiet street to enjoy the river side without being on the busy, rather noisy river front. It is also just a block away from a hospital, across the road from convenient stores and pharmacy. Hotel staff were very professional, yet very friendly and attentive to individuals, and helped me get ready (checking through what I was carrying and how, and advised to leave few things at the hotel and best way to get to and out of the river side) to venture into a busy new year crowd by the river with 2million others. My husband unfortunately wasn't feeling well and was unable to get to the river but he was still able to see parts of the fireworks and laser shows on the other side of the Saigon River in District 2 (we were on the top floor with city view). You could see some NYE fireworks from the roof top. Being in little Tokyo, hotel has Japan theme so it felt like I was transported to Japan in some parts of the hotel but our room definitely felt Vietnamese, and the room and the bed was really comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on the breakfast but there are plenty of places around to eat out.

The service was exceptional, all the staff went above and beyond, I felt very welcome. They also have a complimentary afternoon tea at the lobby accompanied by live music. Food was great!
