Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Great views and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and nice rooms. Better hygiene products compared to other hotels we stayed at in iceland.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Great breakfast options and fantastic view of the lake from our room.

Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. Everything was great, Perfect location, very helpful staff, Isolde is great and got to see the Aurora!

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. Definitely the best accomodation we had in Iceland. The cottage we stayed was spacious and very lovely with all necessary equipment. the parking in front of it was a bonus.The breakfast was fresh and very delicious. the staff was extremely helpful. Check in and check out very effective.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. Very comfortable room with beautiful views. The restaurant in the hotel was great!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great place to have a stop for the night when entering the fjords. Good food friendly staff. And the hottub with the sauna makes it better.

The staff is very friendly, they made very good recommendations for things to do nearby and were very understanding of the fact that we had roads closed due to the weather.

Viesnīcas Skaftafell lieliskās atrašanās vietas dēļ viesi var vērot burvīgu skatu uz Islandes augstāko kalnu Hvannadalshnjukur un ledāju Vatnajökull, kas ir lielākais ledājs Eiropā. Breakfast was nice. Also English breakfast. The room was clean, nice place to stay. And the best is glacier 15 min walk right behind the hotel. No problem with parking. Cattle and tea, coffee in the room DIY.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Nice location with a short drive to Hofn and staff were happy to allow us to check in earlier than specified. Breakfast options were good with most of the continental options out. Very nicely sized rooms and bathrooms with coffee/ tea options and comfy beds!
