Although I was not there much during the days because of tours and stuff, the evenings were nice. Staff was very friendly, smiley and helpful and cooked delicious food. The shower is an experience in itself.

All the food from the restaurant was delicious! The rooms were spacious. The property had many different spaces for relaxing and lounging. We loved the coffee on the patio every morning and the staff was outstanding! We hired Luis for guiding us in Tikal and he was a superb birder! My husband is a birder and he was the perfect match for us! We hired him to guide us on 2 additional trips while we were there. So glad the hotel connected us with him. Thanks so much!

We didn’t have internet, stuck on a bus for 12hrs, arrived much later than we’re told. The town shuts down at 9pm, which we were not advised of previously. The owner was so helpful and understanding of us arriving late. He helped us organise a bus to visit Tikal for the next day. Our room was an excellent location and beautiful views. The room was very clean. Owner speaks very good English and is happily to help sort out any activities or provide advice on where to eat in the area.

Stay at location right inside Tikal National Park, enjoy the refreshing jungle experience and Ancient Maya History. Relax in their outdoor pool watching spider monkey play in trees outside your room. The place is inside to the park, you are basically in the jungle. The view is amazing, and also the sounds of the birds and other animal in the morning is very relax. We have a basic room, there are some schedule for electricity and also for the restaurant which is ok taking into account the location. There is WiFi which is a bit slow but it is fine, it works. The people working in the hotel are very kind and nice. The food it is delitious!

The town of Flores was not what I had expected.
The town of Flores was not what I had expected. Not much going on in the day. Looks like it comes alive at night with the younger backpackers and locals. We only found one small shop with local artists during the day. You can stay along the lake Peten for your visit to Tikal there are a few nice places however the town wasn't great and Tikal is an hour away from Flores.

Flores is a nice place to stay in Peten. It is basically a base to explore the lake, Tikal, and other Mayan ruins. We spent a day on the lake, a day at Tikal, and one strolling Flores. Overall, it felt about right. If you don't go for the "night life" yourself, pick your hotel carefully. Some are next to all night parties on the weekend.

I think Flores, Peten has grown a lot since my last trip.
I think Flores, Peten has grown a lot since my last trip. There are a lot of good hotels, prices are from low to very expensive. So there is a wide variety to choose from. There are a lot of good restaurants too, plus the food vendors on the street sell good food too. There are a lot of activities to engage in, from taking tours to all the different Mayan parks, to bicycle rides or kayaking the Peten Itzá Lake. It is a family friendly town too.

Amazing beautiful location right on lake Peten Itza with many small comfortable places to just hang out and chill by the water. Fun platforms on the lake to swim to or jump from into the water. Howler monkeys visit the trees right above the rooms on a daily basis! Free kayaks/SUP. Free coffee/tea all day. Restaurant/Bar on site with reasonable rates and good food. Very friendly staff, always trying to help. There are nice hikes are available nearby and also Tikal is a short drive from the hotel.

Excellent hotel to get away from it all - a beautiful place on two lakes, with trails, activities, a lovely pool and facilities and a great restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We saw incredible wildlife exploring the surrounding jungle. We ended up not leaving the hotel on our stay in Peten!
