We really enjoyed our stay at the Yolo resort! The location inside the national park allows to visit many places with only a low amount of tourists in the morning. Also, the resort has a beautiful sunset location within ten minute walking distance. The staff helped us to make the best of our two night stay by recommending great routes avoiding the main tourist group flow! Excellent experience. We strongly recommend :)

Highly recommended staying!! Location is perfect, close to the east gate of national park (less than 10 mins by walk) and also the bus terminal (less than 15 mins by walk). The room was clean, comfortable and exactly same as photos. Owners are so kind and supportive. They don’t use English but you can get English support from their supporter Carol, so communication was smooth. And their dog is sooo adorable:)) Definitely you will get great experience here!!

Not much different to any other 2nd Tier city in China.
Not much different to any other 2nd Tier city in China. There are parks, a few old buildings/temples with sections of the old city wall. A couple of pedestrian streets. Pretty much the same as every other Chinese city. Perfectly fine to spend a couple of days trying Hunan food, walking the parks, looking at monuments.

The local food tends to be very spicy but I like them a lot! There are a few Dishes in traditional Hunan Cuisine restaurant you should try: 1. 剁椒鱼头 Duo jiao yu tou: steamed big fish head covered with preserved chillies, veeeery hot. 2. 手撕包菜 Shou si bao cai: fried cabbages with vineger. If you are a street food hunter, try to walk around the universities area. In Tianma area, where students from Hunan university and Hunan Normal university live there, there are many different street food. Barbecue is highly recommended! the best ever had. I enjoyed Yuelu mountain a lot. The air quality there is good. The Yuelu Academy is very much recommended. It is very beautiful and historical significant, but you had better to be with a guide. The Juzi island is not recommended. It is completely modern garden and full of people. Walking around is very exhausted. I have been to Shangsha museum, it is quite impressive as well.

The staff went out of their way to ensure that everything went smoothly during the stay. In particular, Chen Qiu Feng (Amy) was invaluable in facilitating the reservation and payment, and in making the time at World Hotel Jiaxing Hunan (in Changsha) an amazing experience. She is a gem, as is the hotel.

I strongly recommend this hostel to all travellers to China! The owners are so friendly and lovely people! They help me in everything: to get tickets to different attractions and transport, to find interesting places and delicious food, to change dates according to my schedule. The location is great, just 10 min walk from Tianmen Cable Way, city center, lots of cafes and markets. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Best choice!

Beautiful place, wonderful host. Our host went thousands of extra miles to help us and arrange stuff for us so we can fully enjoy Zhangjiajie in our short 2 days trip. This hotel has the best view in town (if you pick the better room), and the room was super comfy. We went during low season, quite cold but lucky the sky was clear so we can fully enjoy our experience!
