On the sunny plateau of Melchsee-Frutt in the Swiss Alps, 1,920 meters above sea level, this hotel features a spa and an open-air lounge with mountain views. Stöckalp SMF Ski Lift is 150 metres away. The quality of the hotel, location, and staff are great. The spa was perfect and everything had thought out to the smallest detail. It was a peaceful and nice experience.

Located in the centre of Sachseln, 200 metres from Lake Sarnen and the train station, the family-run Gasthaus Engel features a Gault Millau-awarded restaurant serving Swiss and international cuisine. This was a wonderful place. I recommend it highly. Be sure to have dinner, it was wonderful.

Situated right in front of the Melchsee-Frutt Cable Car, Gasthaus Waldhaus is a traditional guesthouse that enjoys a central position in Melchtal. The place is close to the cable car starting point. This building is the last building of the mountain range I guess. Staffs were good and friendly. Toilets were clean and perfectly maintained.
