Airport Game Lodge is situated next to bushland 10 km north of Johannesburg International Airport. It features lush landscaped gardens, an outdoor swimming pool and free airport shuttle.

The on-site restaurant was great: a privately run business featuring African decor and some African cuisine. The setting of the lodge was similarly great, with opportunities for wildlife spotting and also for relaxing in the shade. The owner is a super-friendly person who went out of his way to make me feel at home!

Really great breakfast, started at 6am so we could eat before our flight. We were also given a room with a bath which was great for washing the children. The owner was so helpful and answered all of my questions about nearby fuel stations, restaurants and taxis.
