Set in Oban, 26 km from Dunstaffnage Castle, The Kilchrenan Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Kindness & helpfulness were extended from the time we crossed the threshold to our thank yous & good byes. The lovely room overlooked the sea with a walkway winding along next to it. After a delicious dinner we walked in the cool night air enjoying the variety of birds. Our stay was delightful!

Located in Strathyre, 28 km from Lake of Menteith, The White Stag Inn provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The property was recently renovated and is in good condition; the new owners have put a lot of time into making it hospitable and attractive. Parking was easy and the location cannot be beat! Walking, hiking, and so many activities right outside the door. The hosts are very considerate and even included milk for tea/coffee in the small refrigerator and plenty of tea bags and extra coffee. The pub is welcoming and the food was great. Fantastic place and we look forward to returning!

The very friendly and congenial proprietor is an award-winning chef and is also highly knowledgeable about his wines and spirits. He offers an array of rare and obscure alcoholic treats, and you should definitely true the aged rum! The dinner and breakfast menus were fantastic - lots of local and homemade fare, and gluten-free options for almost everything.

Beautiful location, lovely room with thick carpets, a comfortable bed, and a decent sized shower, and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. The on-site bar and restaurant were friendly and welcoming.

The staff were lovely Wendy is one of a kind, the rooms were lovely and couldn't here the traffic even the regulars were friendly the food was fantastic I had the Kirkcaldy burger with salad and potatoes skins. Definitely 10/10 highly recommend.
