Booking was easy, room was SO comfy & well designed, well thought of, with wonderful touches everywhere. The lights are cozy, there's toiletries with nice scent, there's snacks, drinks, additional toiletries for purchase in case you forgot anything. Location is perfect, you also have a possibility to order breakfast with the owners that they prepare & put in front of your door in the morning. You do need to climb the stairs which was no problem at all for us but if you have difficulty with stairs, beware. The house in general is this traditional Monschau old house but it's not old inside, well remodelled & organised inside. It wasn't hot in summer, it also has heaters so you won't be cold in the cold time of year. as a person who enjoys the aesthetics of places I live in, I had the ultimate pleasure staying here & would definitely recommend it to other visuals, artists, or just people who appreciate small little touches to your stay. We stayed in room 8 (a twin) at the top of the hotel. The floor has two other rooms which share a landing toilet, but room 8 has a cosy en-suite. The room was serviced everyday, and although not big, was very comfortable. Our hosts were wonderful, as were the breakfasts. Walking distance to where the main restaurants are, and a short drive to the 'Ring, I'd highly recommend a stay here.

Majutusasutus asub Manderscheidis, 42 km kaugusel Nuerburgringist.Herberg Die alte Schleuse pakub majutust koos aia, tasuta privaatse parkimise, ühise puhkeruumi ja terrassiga. the owner went above and beyond to stay up until 1130 pm because our flight was 4 hours late and the car rental office in the airport was closed except at the car pickup . the owner also gave me food and drink as i am diabetic and was getting low blood sugar from no food for almost 10 hours . what a great guy.
