This family-run guest house is located in Görisried, in the Ostallgäu countryside. It offers free Wi-Fi, bowling alley and home-made regional cuisine. A total gem. The staff was exceptional and the rooms were beautiful, very large and perfectly decorated. Food was delicious. We will make a special effort to return again.

Everything was incredibly clean and the staff very, very friendly! It didn't smell at all of horse or whatever. I definitely recommend it.

Cafe Maria - Pension - B&B is set in Rieden am Forggensee, 31 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and 40 km from Oberstdorf. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. We had a top floor room (14) with a lovely view of the lake and the 2 castles. We had our own balcony too. The spacious room was typical of the area, very natural and traditional. The shower was hot and powerful and the beds comfortable. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, notable the owner who is a great English speaker and Angela. The breakfast was also amazing with a good range of fresh produce and breads, cold meats and cheeses to name but a few. The whole place is incredibly relaxed and a view to die for. We went on a nice boat trip around the lake for 17 Euro which was lovely. Definitely a must place to stay if you want to visit the Fussen area.
