The Haystack management has been hosting guests since March 2015 in its sister property - the 4-Star rated The Haystack on Homestead and you can expect the same standard of homely hospitality. We remain passionate about hospitality and are eager to exceed guests' expectations.

The Haystack on Cowley is not a hotel, BnB or your usual hospitality property. It has been designed and furnished like home - perfect for a weekend break, vacation, staycation, temporary accommodation or business travel. Consisting of 3 self-catering apartment types that can be booked independently or when they are available, booked together to create an interlinked house of 7 bedrooms for families or groups. Each bedroom has air-conditioning for heating/cooling in the winter/summer months. Cable TV and Internet streaming entertainment available on 50" TVs. Study, work and entertainment facilitated by unlimited fibre Internet access using WiFi. The largest apartment has an en-suite master bedroom with a King-size bed. Open-plan living/dining/kitchen areas equipped with all modern conveniences including full-size gas stoves and coffee-makers. Solar water heating provides convenience during periods of electricity load-shedding. We currently have a battery/inverter installation that keeps the lights and WiFi on during periods of loadshedding. This is supplemented by a generator during periods of extended power outages. Set in large gardens with a swimming pool, guests can take advantage of outdoor garden entertainment including BBQ. Braai facilities are available. With on-site secure parking, the property is linked to 24/7 armed response for peace of mind and security.

The Haystack on Cowley is located in Bryanston East. Nearby neighbourhoods include Petervale, Kleve Hill Park, Paulshof, Sunninghill and Rivonia. Bryanston East is a quiet upmarket residential neighbourhood with large properties. Petervale shopping centre is a walking-distance away and convenient for every-day grocery shopping, restaurants and light entertainment. Guests conducting business in the Bryanston, Rivonia and Paulshof areas will find us a convenient distance to the nearby schools, offices and corporate parks. The Rivonia and Sunninghill commercial centres, which offers a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, grocery shops, banking outlets and specialty ethnic shopping are less than a 10-minute drive away from us. With easy access to Rivonia Road, Witkoppen Road and the N1, we are suitably located for travel within the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg and the highway to Pretoria and the Southern suburbs. Guests who require long-term stay after visiting the nearby medical facilities like Netcare Sunninghill Hospital, Mediclinic Morningside, Netcare Waterfall Hospital, Mediclinic Sandton and Sandton Oncology Centre will find the property a home-away-from-home.
