Traveling for the first time into this part of "historical" South Africa and after hearing about the negative stuff, I wasn't sure how it will be, but "Lungi" made it a "smooth" ride. He knows many people around and will help you out in getting rid of the negative perceptions/stereotypes you have about this place. He can also spontaneously organize tours and guide you in showing different places around Jo'burg/Soweto. After staying here, I can say that staying here was better than in staying in Jo'burg. The room & the toilets are clean...and no mosquitoes (at least inside the room). So, it was a learning & a great stay! :)

The room we booked was clean and adequate for our needs. They have side activities like the bicycle tours that I highly recommend.

I was happy to receive a room upgrade when I arrived. The location was in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It was great hanging out by the pool chatting with the other guest. I would certainly return and highly recommend this establishment.

Stay Inn Lodge Randfontein asub Randfonteinis, 38 km kaugusel inimkonna hällist ja kasiinost Gold Reef City. Everything was fine the room was clean too.

Melville House asub Johannesburgis, 3,1 km kaugusel Parkview golfiklubist. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta eraparkla, ühine puhkeruum ja grillimisvahendid. I stayed 7 days at the Melville House and felt like its a hostel that really understands community and sharing. Staff was great, talkative and helpful. Other guests staying there were mingling and cool. I met local students looking for long term accomodation, long term travellers stopping by in Johannesburg and I myself was on workation - which was great in my private room that had an amazing comfortable bed and i had my own bathroom. The shared spaces were a place to meet the others and the surrounding is relatively save for Joburg standards so that I could even go for walks and jogg in the morning. Loved it!
