At the hostel, the rooms are equipped with a wardrobe. All rooms come with a private bathroom, and some rooms come with a balcony. It was very good accommodation, probably the best place we have ever stayed. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very cosy and clean. We loved the accommodation and will definitely be returning guests. It was great that it was a dog friendly place, our dog really enjoyed it too. There are so many attractions nearby that are worth seeing. 🐶

The second I stepped in, it felt like staying at a friend’s house. Katya & Ryan are exceptionally friendly, they’re very knowledgeable about the area. They provided one of the best breakfast I’ve had in hostels. Rooms were clean, bathrooms & toilets were spacious. The nearby river creates a relaxed ambience, we can also sit next to the water on a hammock or stools they provided.

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. You cannot imagine how great this place is... Firstly, the people. Anna and Jaros (and the beautiful Lavinia) are so nice hosts! Not only hosts, human beings. They are creative with the space, a pleasure to interact with and talk to, inspiring for their ethnics, hard work and care. A special mention for the girls, also! The atmosphere is welcoming and everything clean and tidy. The back garden with the terraces makes you to not want to leave the place. But if you do get out, you could enjoy a walk in the nice little town or explore the surrounding mountains. And, of course, the beautiful Soka river.

Breakfast was great with individual jam containers, breads and yogurt with museli. Bathroom was super nice and private. Everything was new. Beds were comfortable.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, and organising tours for guests. Everything at Mama Minka was so perfect and we cannot wait to return another time. We were greeted by Palona, who is simply the most lovely, helpful, and energetic person ever, and everything was absolutely wonderful from that point forward. Our group of 7 adults and teens had just gotten off the trail from hut-to-hut backpacking for 5 days, so we needed to rest, do laundry, and find energy to enjoy the lake. The hostel is sparkling clean, has everything anyone could need, and both Palona and Rok went above and beyond to help us find a lost cell phone (in Lake Bled!), arrange transportation, and enjoy Lake Bohinj. The rooms are large and quiet and the neighborhood is so sweet and calm....just wonderful. We rented bikes from Mama Minka and spent a day touring the lake on designated bike paths, too. Seriously, this hostel and the caretakers are absolute gems! Cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. We loved it so much.
