You can tell she really cares about her guests, and she comes by every day to clean or check on things. Beds are very comfortable, and bathrooms are clean and large with plenty of hot water.

Situated 300 m from Faro Marina, Casa da Madalena Backpackers backpackers features a rooftop terrace with views over the colourful marina and the historical rooftops and a 24-hour front desk reception... I loved staying here. The staff was so friendly and the pancake breakfast was amazing. Everything was clean and the bathrooms were very nice. This is the ideal place for solo travellers to meet each other at breakfast and it´s close to the city center, bus station and train station. Also loved the rooftop to have beers with other travellers and relax in the hammocks.

Hostel on the Hill offers accommodation in Hortas do Tabual 10 km from Sagres. The hostel offers a large garden with a barbecue and hammocks where guests can socialize and enjoy their meals. Comfortable and quiet hostel, in a cute village. Nice aesthetic in the rooms, common areas and bathrooms! Relaxing view. Around 40min out of the official Rota Vicentina route (nice hike to get there)

Located in the historical centre of Lagos, a 10-minute walk from the Batata Beach, Olive Hostel Lagos offers accommodation in dormitories as well as private rooms. This place feels like home, truly! The kitchen over there really made me want to cook which I usually never do when traveling. Also all the rooms were so clean and the atmosphere just makes you feel so comfortable and warm and cosy. You could say right away that it’s not just an accommodation but so much more. Location is great, in the center but somehow much quieter than you could imagine that it would be in the center. People in there are so warm, and you feel like family right away. They know how to take care of the energy of this place, how to create the right atmosphere so that everyone could truly relax and enjoy themselves there fully. (Most of us arriving there kept extending our stay and I believe that says more than enough about the place)
