Gorgeous place, I loved the nature and the hostel itself which has a Japanese and Scandinavian vibe to it. If you’re looking for a place to relax and just connect with nature I think it’s the best place to do it at.

Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA is set in Fujiyoshida, 1.4 km from Fujikyu Highland. Gekkoji Station is 450 metres away and Fujisan Station is 1 km away. Complimentary tea and coffee are available. Perfectly well located at 10 minute walks away from the station and hot photography locations. Staff was extremely welcoming and helped guide to local restaurants and places to see.

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. One of my favourite stays during a month in Japan. Definitely more of a boutique guest house than a hostel. Beautiful design and very comfortable rooms. Lovely communal space with nice teas available and the sister cafe (where you have the breakfast) was a highlight of my entire trip ( I went 3 times in less than 24 hourse). Location was amazing and I LOVED Fujiyoshida as a little town. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking to stay near Fuji. Easy walk to Churieto Pagoda, recommend going for sunrise.

A mere 10-minute drive from the Fujikyu Highland amusement park, Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel offers private Japanese-style rooms, free Wi-Fi at the lobby. Coin-operated laundry facilities are on-site. Very affordable place within walking distance of Arakura Sengen Park and two train stations. The room itself is cozy and I got a traditional style room with tatami mats and a futon. The shared toilet (it's heated!) and shower worked fine. The host is very pleasant and was happy that I got to see Mt Fuji.

Dette hostelet anbefales! Nytt, rent og pent. Private, single dusjrom var et stort pluss. Vi bestilte et familierom til 4 personer og fikk et kult «campingrom» hvor to gode madrasser var inne i en tipie. En sov i hengekøye og siste på madrass på gulvet. Alle sov godt og elsket dette rommet! midt i rommet var det campingstoler og et bord, med utstyr til å lage mat om ønskelig. Hostelet ligger rett ved togstasjonen og dette er en stor fordel fordi det gjøt det enkelt å dra hit og dit.
