Located in Tateyama, LOCOMOTION COFFEE AND BED features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed at Locomotion Coffee and Bed for a couple of days while hiking in the region. From our previous experience in hostels we did not expect anything special but were wholly proven wrong. Locomotion Coffee and Bed was the nicest, most luxurious guest house we ever stayed at. Beds are spacious and comfortable and the common room is quite cozy. There are also a fridge and electric kettle. Aside from a shower the hostel also houses an onsen that can be used free of charge, perfect after a long day of hiking. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. If wished, they can also prepare (delicious!) breakfast and dinner with vegetarian options available. Locomotion Coffee and Bed is located right across from Tateyama Station and the cable car station, making it an ideal starting point to go to Murodō. The mountains around Toyama are also worth a hike. We had an all aroud pleasant time at Locomotion Coffee and Bed and wish to return here for further exploration of the region.

Guesthouse Iwase is set in Toyama, 2.2 km from Toyama-kō and 14 km from Toyama Family Park. Very friendly and helpful owner. Not far from Higashi-Iwase tram line. Beds are comfortable and private. Bike, toothbrush, and towel rental available.

Featuring a garden, Guesthouse Kazura is located in Nanto. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Very friendly and helpful staff! It was amazing to stay in a traditional Japanese thatched house (over 300 years old). The accommodation was warm and had a very cosy lounge area (with guitars and other instruments to play) and lots of cooking space. The location was also quite spectacular with views of the city at night and located next to a lake, park, and sports facilities. There is also a bus stop directly outside of the property. Definitely a must if you're planning to stay in Nanto.

Travelers' house ROOTs is located in Takaoka, 25 km from Toyama-kō and 47 km from Kanazawa Station. The owner is very friendly and can speak english well. 😊

Set in Fukumitsu, 23 km from Kanazawa Castle, guesthouse絲 -ito-ゲストハウスイト offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This is my first experience with my friends staying in a guest house, but the atmosphere inside was very cool, how clean everything was, everything was comfortable and the hostess was very nice
