Gave great recommendations for things to do, and even shared some local desserts with me one day. The hostel itself is super clean and cozy, good Wi-Fi!

Otaornai Backpacker's Hostel Morinoki ligger i Hokkaido Otaru og er gratis og uafhængigt rejsende. Ikke godt for lille gruppe eller familie. The best hostel I've ever stayed in, quiet, felt like home. Wonderful owner and staff, I got a nice Japanese breakfast, too. Will hopefully come back soon!

Niseko Backpackers Hostel Tabi-Tsumugi ligger 10 minutters gang fra JR Kutchan Station og tilbyder enkel indkvartering med ekstra lange senge. Fully equipped kitchen, big beds, close to a big supermarket, and the effort that the host Ryo puts into the job is amazing. He will drive you everywhere and recommend hikes in the local area. The best recommendation you can get as a host has to be that the customers come back, and I've already been there twice on my trip around Japan :)

There was plenty of space to store your luggage and it was easy to meet other travellers in the common area. Having a full kitchen to use was awesome.

遊悠館 is set in Chitose, within 35 km of Shin-Sapporo Station and 44 km of Sapporo Station. Featuring a shared lounge, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Clean and tranquil place. The staff were helpful, considerate,and awesome! A konbini ( convenience store) is located next to it.

HELIO HOSTEL SAPPORO har en praktisk beliggenhed i Sapporos centrum, 13 km fra Shin-Sapporo Station, 20 km fra Otarushi Zenibakos centrum og 36 km fra Otaru Station. Modern hostel in a good location. From the minute I entered I got a good impression, staff were extremely friendly and checked me in easily and gave me a thorough explanation of where everything was etc. The room was clean and the bed was very spacious and comfy especially for a hostel bed! Face and body towels were both provided which is always a bonus! The shower room was on a different floor which I thought was strange as you had to walk through the lounge/kitchen area to access them… yet the showers were clean and worked well. Oh and also … there were even straighteners and curlers in the shared washroom outside the showers! The washroom area in our room was very clean and the air freshener in the toilets smelt amazing!

Everything was perfect for us. However, upon talking to other people who were staying at the same location, we were shocked to find out that there was no air conditioning in their room. This made their stay extremely uncomfortable. We had air conditioning in our room. When I brought it up with management, they said that some rooms have it and some rooms don’t. It is then very important when you book to ask for a room With air conditioning, if that is important to you.
