I was the only one guest in this hostel that day. It was incredible experience, the owner is a very kind person and he told me about the story of the guesthouse, it's a very remote place in the Westfjords, this was my second time in Iceland but my first time in the Westfjords, and I loved my days in the remotest part of Iceland. Hopefully to visit the Westfjords someday again, and if I do it I will back to this accommodation again!

Great location and great staff
Great location! Check-in went smoothly, without any complications. The house has several very big rooms and a toilet on the upper floor, and on the ground floor a living room, a dining room and a large kitchen with all dishes, spices, oil, washing-up liquid...in the morning, the owners bring freshly brewed coffee!
Hotel Húsafell exceeded our expectations. The serene and secluded location created a peaceful retreat. The well-crafted breakfast and the exceptional fine dining experience at the on-site restaurant added a great touch to our stay. We also got the chance to experience the Northern lights even though it was cloudy so appreciated the wake up call. The overall ambiance and service make this hotel a standout choice for Iceland.
Great location and easy check in
Great location, good directions
Very great location with a wonderful view ! The room was very comfortable. I enjoyed a lot my stay in this guesthouse
We used this guesthouse as our first night of the vacation. It is well equiped, if you are familiar with thos hostel style. Sleeping rooms are private, but everything else is shared. The kitchen had everything and because we and another couple had exclusively the area, everything went well. If it is fully booked, I can imagine this to be more crowded. The area is nice and has fantistic waterfall within short distance walking range. Also the swimming pool is highly recommended
Cozy, nice, quiet, near the ocean, Tata the dog, great location to view the Northern Lights if they appear. We went as a group of four (two couples) and it was great.
Great location for exploring the Husafell area. rooms were spacious and comfortable (the mezzanine bed was perfect for the kids) and a really nice breakfast.
Despite the friendly reception lady and the stunning view from the front of the building, the main problem is the design of the place. Many rooms lead straight off a (dark but well-equipped) communal kitchen area, and so noise travels easily. The description of the place is ambiguous and doesn't really paint an accurate picture that staying here does, in many ways, feel like an expensive youth hostel. Definitely overpriced compared to everywhere else we stayed during two weeks in Iceland.
