The owner of Skyrhusid was one of the highlights of our trip. He made cake for everyone staying there. Gave us some Skyr on the house. He was a delight, and the facilities were awesome as well. When we come back to Iceland I definitely will stop here

The room was good, the shared bathrooms were good, and the staff was very helpful and nice. It is a very good solution in such area. I recommend it.

Moreover, you might see the Aurora light if you’re lucky enough. Furthermore, the WiFi network was strong. Also, you will meet different people around the world. If you forgot to buy some food before your arrival, 1. the hostel had a shelf in the shared kitchen which sells food; 2. there was a restaurant nearby. At last, feel free to enjoy the welcome cake and drinks.

The hostel is extremely clean (including shared bathrooms) and well kept. We got to enjoy free welcome cake, orange juice, skyr and milk, as well as unlimited coffee and tea. The beds were super comfortable and rooms were cozy (which is key in the Islandia winter). Finally, because this hostel is located in a “remote” location, we had the privilege of catching the northern lights at 3am!DianaGroup
