Het Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse wordt door een familie beheerd en biedt uitzicht op schilderachtige heuvels. Het ligt in het rustige dorpje Ings, op 3,2 km van Windermere. Vanuit de locatie van as de kerk waar een mooi concert werd gegeven er direct naast en ook een prima pub vlakbij. Ook waren er direct aansluitend prachtige wandelingen te maken. Maar vooral was het personeel super aardig en het ontbijt heerlijk

The Westbourne is een prachtig pension in de rustige omgeving onder Biskey Howe in het Lake District. De slaapkamers zijn voorzien van een inloopdouche, luxe toiletartikelen en grote zachte... Comfortable, clean, great location! Wonderful breakfast and host!

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. Excellent accommodation, smart, clean and great hosts/staff. Very central and accessible from the train station too, although it has its own private parking - a real plus. Very good breakfast, with probably the best bacon rolls (amongst many other options) that we've ever had! We will return for sure. Fully recommended.

Dit prachtige Victoriaanse huis ligt op een rustige locatie tussen Windermere en Bowness, op slechts 1,6 km van het meer Windermere. Everything in this place is exceptional and cute! The welcome snacks and breakfast are superb. The room is lovely and comfortable. Everything is thoughtful and staffs are lovely! Definitely come back!

Craig Walk Suite bevindt zich in Bowness-on-Windermere, op 38 km van Derwentwater en 43 km van Askham Hall. Large room with kitchen. Loved having cold water in the fridge as well as welcome cookies, coffee and teas.

Swallow Barn ligt op 31 km van Derwentwater en 44 km van De Wereld van Beatrix Potter, en heeft gratis WiFi en een terras. Host was super friendly, and helpful

The Old Rectory ligt in Coniston, op 18 km van Lake Windermere, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Rust! Echt Engels, comfortabel bed (4 poster). Wij begrepen de bad kraan niet goed, maar werden gehoord en serieus genomen.

Dalegarth Guesthouse Portinscale is gelegen in Keswick, op 5,8 km van Derwentwater, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. An absolute little gem of a place!! Well where to start.. when I say this is an absolute little gem I really mean it, and that is all down to Clare and Craig who run the place to absolute perfection! They really put everything into making sure that their guests are well looked after and that nothing is too much trouble. Firstly, ahead of arrival, you get a link to a web page (the guidebook) with all the information on that you could possibly need during your stay; from check in and out procedures, to local information on eating out, car parking, walking, shopping, activities, to everything and anything else in-between! I loved this! The area is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the house and the village is so peaceful. Just far enough away from Keswick but close enough to get to easily and enjoy the town. We really love Keswick anyway, and Derwentwater too, so the location is just perfect for us! On arrival we were met by Craig who directed us to our parking spot and offered us help with our bags if it was needed. We then headed around to the house and met Clare, whom showed us around. There's a lovely lounge area to relax in, and a bar where you can get a drink on an evening if you wish to. There is tea and coffee in each room with UHT milks, but what I loved was that fresh milk is available as needed too - you just take a little jug to your room from the milk in the fridge! There's also other drinks like hot chocolate, fruit teas, decaf drinks here to help yourself to. The room was lovely and really clean, with comfortable beds too. Smart TV in the room and free WIFI access were a bonus, although we didn't waste much time with technology! If you want any advice or tips on where to go or what to do, don't hesitate to ask Craig - he's full of information and more than happy to help! Clare's cooking skills are amazing too! Her flapjack is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts - set us up well for our days out!
