This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Location is quite and picturesque with convenient connections to everyone. Kitchen in the room is fully equipped with nice selection of cutlery and dishes. Breakfast is good with wide variety of cheese, spreads, breads, tee and delicious jams of crazy flavors. Also chairs in the breakfast hall are comfy provoking to sit and stare in the windows. Bed in the room is amazing, I haven't slept that good for ages! Compared to other hotels nearby parking facilities seem to be outstanding.

The owners are amazing, very nice and dedicated. Rooms are spacious and the served breakfast cosy and tasty. Localization just next to the river Elbe and near the Old Town.

Set within 10 km of Königstein Fortress and 17 km of Saxon Switzerland National Park in Kurort Rathen, Eisenbahnwelten provides accommodation with seating area. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk in one direction from the train station with its excellent rail service and a few steps to the ferry giving access to the main village of Unterrathen with the Bastei and walks in the Saxon Switzerland region immediately facing the house. Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

Offering a garden and garden view, Pension Kleiner König is set in Struppen-Siedlung, 3.2 km from Königstein Fortress and 11 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park. Breakfast was reasonably good. Self check-in but it was pretty easy. It provided free parking space. Conveniently located for access to the Sachsen Swiss National Park. Great value.

Featuring garden views, Tinyroom mit Ausblick provides accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 3.4 km from Königstein Fortress. Absolutely wonderful room, with lovely hosts and an ideal location. The room was equipped with everything that I needed (fridge, coffee maker, water boiler). The hosts were attentive and warm and gave me great tips on where to explore. The room was perfectly sized for solo travel, and located close to the town center Koenigstein, as well as the train station and ferry. I recommend staying at this cozy and quiet location for those travelling solo or with a partner.

Pension Stettin is set in Stadt Wehlen, 11 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park, 18 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park, and 20 km from Königstein Fortress. This pension is situated on the edge of the village and is very quiet. A pleasant walk through the village, out the other side then down a very steep and beautiful path will take you to Stat Vehlen, which is a pretty little town on the Elbe with a ferry across to the station. The path certainly keeps you fit on the return journey. The room was commodious, the bathroom equally so. Facilities in the room were good, but basic, to make hot drinks or get a beer, guests have access to the kitchen area through a different door. Breakfast was very good, a boiled egg awaits you when you sit down, there is the usual collection of meats and cheeses, yoghurt, bread, fresh fruit and so on. I really liked it.

Offering inner courtyard views, Lichtenhainer Wasserfall is an accommodation set in Lichtenhain, 17 km from Königstein Fortress and 38 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park. it was convenient for my purpose and served excellent food

Offering barbecue facilities and river view, XXL Ferienwohnung is located in Pirna, 7.1 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park and 18 km from Königstein Fortress. Amazing location. 1 min away from the Malerweg 1 stage. The flat is big and very tidy, bed is super comfortable.

Casa Hostel Pirna is located on the second floor of the historic Salve building from 1895. It offers a locked room for bicycles, free maps and free WiFi. Everything is high quality. It’s a great place!
