Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice. I particularly liked the self-serve coffee machine and the ability to make myself a double-shot cappuccino. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with huge gardens and a short tree-lined path to the lake. The box spring bed was a delight.

This Alpine-style hotel is located in Rottau, 4 km from Lake Chiemsee. Gasthof Fischstüberl offers spacious rooms, free WiFi and a balcony offering panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. Very nice place, with great fish restaurant!

This traditional Bavarian guest house is situated at the foot of the Hochfelln mountain, amid the scenic hiking routes, mountain bike trails and cross-country ski runs of the Chiemgau region. We loved it here and wished we could have stayed more than three nights. We loved our room with a balcony. Roll and his wife were very welcoming and friendly. Roll was very helpful with suggestions on what we could do each day. The breakfast was very substantial and suited all tastes. The restaurants in the area were very good, offering a wide range of cuisine, all within an easy walking distance.
