Our room was beautifully decorated and enormous. An abundant and very nice breakfast was served on the terrace and it was lovely to watch the horses as we ate. The village of Barbizon, just up the road, has a number of restaurants.

Anne and François are incredible people! Excellent breakfast, fresh and healthy!! Feels like like staying at a relatives house for a visit! Quiet and clean, couldn't ask for a better place to stay at.

Very clean and modern, excellent shower and large TV with chrome cast and Netflix, and table and chairs on patio outside. Good fridge with a freezer box, cutlery and paper plates provided. Bed was comfortable but the mattress wasn't as firm as we are used to. Busy road outside is completely quiet at night.

Terrific breakfast. Big room. Hostess very accommodating, tied into local music scene and showed us to a concert that evening. We had just booked into Bois-le-Roi to be close to Fontainebleau and were pleasantly surprised by the entertainment and came out in the morning to a small but fun market set up in the square. Didn't even hear them setting up!

The property and grounds are beautiful and extremely well-maintained. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean and it was also huge with a lovely spacious ensuite bathroom. Water pressure is also excellent. The room is extremely bright and airy during the day with several large windows on two sides. However, you can also make the room very dark at night or whenever needed. The included breakfast each day was delicious and plentiful. The hosts are extremely welcoming and happy to share all the little local tidbits that are so useful to know when you arrive in a new place. They also do their utmost to be helpful with anything they reasonably can to make you comfortable. I stayed for six nights and felt right at home from the first moment to the last. It was also excellent value for the price.
