From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. As a parent, ensuring the safety of my children is always a top priority, and I was immensely impressed by the measures taken to ensure a secure environment. From well-lit pathways to attentive staff members, every aspect of the guest house exudes a sense of safety and tranquility. Furthermore, the hospitality extended to us by the staff members was truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs and make us feel at home throughout our stay. Whether it was offering recommendations for local attractions or ensuring that our accommodations were comfortable and inviting, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident at every turn. Of course, one of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic swimming pool. Our children absolutely loved splashing around and enjoying the refreshing waters, and it provided hours of entertainment for the whole family.

Happy Jackal is conveniently located 2 km from the South Gate to Addo National Park. This guest house features an outdoor pool and the spacious rooms come with satellite TV, and a refrigerator. We stayed for two nights, but would have liked to stay longer. Suzette was so welcoming! Breakfast was delicious, especially the bread and jams. The facilities were great and there’s many activities to do if you’re interested. We did a game drive with Tim which was amazing!! Highly recommend!

The staff were all delightful and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The grounds were lovely with a small but sparkling pool with quality towels provided. We had dinner twice, each time delicious, and breakfast twice which was equally plentiful and perfect. This is a real gem.
